Message let a debate begin.
i am currently arguing with myself about this, and i am not winning. :P

anyway, i had told a couple of people that recently posted that they had "ruined" good pictures by turning their front wheels.
comments and suggestions were directed my way.
those comments, and a discussion i had with friends, made me wonder how long turned wheels have annoyed me.

it turns out that it has always bothered me......to some degree.
i have discovered though, when done right, a slight wheel turn can add that certain something to a photo.

i started my investigation by looking through the pictures i have saved over the past few years.
most were of cars with straight front wheels.
however, i realized i had saved many pictures, of many different kinds of cars, with their front wheels turned.

i then went to my magazine archive, which consists of a large stack of magazines that have not made it to the recycle container.
obviously, there are many nice pictures in magazines.
i kept track of what i liked, and what i didn't.

there was a common theme through it all;
if i liked a picture with the front wheels turned, they were only turned slightly.

i will stand by my opinion that turning the front wheels can ruin good pictures, if they are turned too far.
or if the angle of the picture does not display the wheels in a clear manner.
i will also admit that turned wheels can enhance a good picture.

in any case, every picture is viewed differently by each person that views it.
and the opinion of whether its good or bad can hinge on millions of factors.

here are some pictures of my car with and without turned front wheels.
the angles of the shots are not exactly the same, but you get the idea.
i admit, while i was taking the pictures with the wheels turned, i was hoping they would look silly.
some did.
but it had more to do with the angle they were taken from, then wheter the wheels were turned.
imagine my suprise when i loaded these pictures onto my computer and, gasp, i actually liked some of them.

i suppose, as we all said in those previous posts, its up to each person to decide what looks good/bad.

in the end, i seem to be hungry for crow, but i think i'll only eat half.
